Marquee · How it works

One wall. Every input. Provably safe.

Marquee runs the screens in a venue. The clever part isn't the screens — it's that everything that could appear (a house program, an ad, a viewer's pick, a boss's pack, an automated alert) is checked against the venue's posture before it can render, and every decision is written to a tamper-evident proof ledger.

The one idea — the trust floor
1 · Pick a posture

Choose what kind of place this is (clinic, daycare, sports bar, newsroom…). That snaps the whole content envelope: allowed source kinds, a G→ADULT rating ceiling, blocked tags, permitted ad categories, and the default screen layout.

2 · Everything is gated

Programs, promos, ads, viewer picks, pack slots — all run through the same engine. Anything outside the envelope locks on the wall with the reason shown. A zone can only tighten the posture, never loosen it. Only life-safety emergencies bypass it.

3 · It's all recorded

Every play, block, override, and preempted (un-billed) spot appends a SHA-256-chained, HMAC-signed receipt. Anyone can recompute the chain and prove what ran — or prove a forbidden item never did.

The surfaces
Wall Composer/wall

Lay out the screen wall (Mosaic / Mirror / Canvas), pick the venue posture, and fire All-Calls across any scope.

open ↗
Scene Control/scene

One tap recomposes the whole room — lighting, audio, the screens, the active special, and which ads run — all bounded by the posture.

open ↗
Fleet/fleet

All your locations on one board — each lab's wall live in its own posture, with a Network All-Call that flips every screen at once.

open ↗
World News Wall/world

Six screens, six world regions, live — the newsroom 6-in-1, with local clocks, a world ticker, and a spoken anchor read.

open ↗
Inventory/inventory

Link a special to a promo — airtime follows stock, and a sold-out item comes off the wall automatically.

open ↗
Mission Packs/packs

A boss pushes a brief + six screens to a team's wall in one move (war room, intern board, exec brief).

open ↗
Ad Marketplace/marketplace

Venue-owned ad inventory. An ad runs only if it's vetted AND clears the venue's ad-category gate.

open ↗
Earnings/earnings

What the screens make: the per-play money flow to the venue, a live ticker, and a tunable monthly/yearly projection.

open ↗
Advertise/advertise

Advertiser sign-up: a Harbor Vetting stepper with a live 'where your ad can run' reach map, ending in a booked creative.

open ↗
Automations/automations

Scheduled / sports / weather / AMBER feeds fire All-Calls on their own — open the wall in another tab and watch.

open ↗
Viewer Pick/viewer

The captive-audience side: tap to choose what plays. Every option is pre-filtered by where you are.

open ↗
Live Demo/showcase

A guided gallery of venue postures — flip between them and watch the same wall recompose to fit each room.

open ↗
Auto ✦ (AI)/auto

The wall writes itself, safely: Claude proposes venue-appropriate programs, and every candidate must clear the trust floor before it can land.

open ↗
Pricing/pricing

Plans + the exclusivity-auction model: one advertiser per category per loop, highest bid wins, the rest locked out.

open ↗
Platform Revenue/revenue

What Marquee earns — live MRR from subscriptions + the 15% ad take-rate, pulled straight from Stripe, with growth/churn and a fleet-scale projection.

open ↗
Venues (multi-tenant)/venues

Each subscribing venue is its own tenant on Neon — own wall, All-Calls, ledger, and marketplace, fully isolated.

open ↗
Civic & Education ✦/civic

Marquee for schools/libraries/museums: an ad-free, kid-safe envelope + a media-literacy lens that teaches how to read the news, all provable.

open ↗
Go Live/launch

The go-live checklist — real readiness checks for the path from demo to first paying venue.

open ↗
Venue Pitch/pitch

The one-page sell for a venue owner: keep 85%, provably safe, runs itself, live on a screen in an afternoon.

open ↗
Insights/insights

Airtime + ad performance analytics — impressions, scans, redemptions, and revenue by creative and daypart.

open ↗
Signals/signals

Tune the airtime rules — weather, sports, time-of-day curves that bias what plays, with live previews.

open ↗
Compliance/compliance

Issue an Ed25519-signed compliance certificate from the ledger — third-party verifiable proof of what ran.

open ↗
Proof Ledger/ledger

A SHA-256 hash-chained, HMAC-signed record of everything that ran — tamper a record and watch the chain break.

open ↗
Public Verify/verify

Anyone can verify a signed compliance certificate — and prove a forbidden thing NEVER ran. The trust moat, in public.

open ↗
Edge Player ↗/play

What a real screen runs: the wall, fullscreen, no controls. Polls live, so All-Calls land within ~2s.

Try it in 60 seconds
  1. 1On the Wall, change Venue posture to Pediatric Clinic — watch Sports and the alcohol promo lock out instantly.
  2. 2Open Player in a second tab (or on a TV). Back on the Wall, fire an Emergency All-Call — it takes over the player live.
  3. 3In the Marketplace, switch the venue to Family Diner — the alcohol / gambling ads stop being eligible. Switch to Sports Bar — they clear.
  4. 4Run a play loop, then visit the Ledger, hit Tamper a record, and watch every hash after it turn red.
Under the hood

· Next.js + Prisma on a real Neon Postgres database — layouts, overrides, and the marketplace persist across devices.

· The proof ledger uses real SHA-256 chaining + HMAC-SHA256 signatures with a server-held key — not a demo hash.

· The posture catalog ships 21 venue types; adding one is a single row, no engine change.

· Stripe Connect and the live feeds are clearly-labeled simulations — wire real keys to go live.
